GWEN AND DAIL QUALIFY FROM NORTH FOR CRIEFF GRAND FINAL
Gwen Munro from Elgin and Hopeman's Dail Reid qualified from today's SLGA Medal (North) Final at Muir of Ord Golf Club to play in the Grand Final at Crieff Golf Club on September 4.
Gwen had a net round of 73 and topped the Silver Division returns by virtue of having a better inward half than Fiona Williams (Inverness) who also had a net 73, off 14.
Fiona was a very unlucky loser in that her score included a two-stroke penalty for playing off the wrong tee at one hole.
Dail Reid had the best net score in the Bronze Division with a 69 off 2. She won that category by four strokes from Jean Toms (Fort William) who had a net 73 off 28.
The par was 70 and the CSS 73.
There was a disappointingly low number of entries - only 16.
