HOW THE BRITS HAVE FARED IN THIS WEEK'S US AMATEUR CH/SHP

E-mail from Pamela Pretswell in United States

Holly Clyburn, Lauren Taylor, Sally Watson and myself were playing in the US Womens Amateur Championship this week in Rhode Island.
Our qualifying scores
Pamela Pretswell - 69 and 72 (-1 total) - qualified in 7th place (out of 156)
Holly Clyburn - 72 and 74 ( 4 total) - qualified in 53rd place (out of 156)
Sally Watson - 72 and 75 ( 5 total) - qualified in 55th place (out of 156)
Lauren Taylor - 77 and 74 ( 9 total) - missed cut.
Conditions were really warm and the course was playing a full 6,400 yards due to heavy rain.
First round
Holly lost on 18th 1 down
Sally lost on 18th 1 down
Pamela lost on 19th
Also, the only other European in the field, Sophia Popov lost in the 1st round on the 18th - a lot of very close 1st round matches!
