Twenty nine ladies braved an exceptionally wet day at Duns Golf Club today (Sunday 7 August) in the South East Regional Medal Finals.
In the bronze section, 14-year-old Leanne Wilson from Kelso had the lowest score of the day with a nett 74, while past Scottish Girls' Champion, Ailsa Bain won the Silver section with a nett 75 after an impressive inward half of one under par. Leanne and Ailsa will be joined at the Grand Medal Final at Crieff on 4th September by Julie Birdsall (Roxburghe).
Thanks must go to the Duns greenkeepers for ensuring the course remained playable.

1st Ailsa Bain Peebles 78 - 3 = 75 Q
2nd Sheila Halliday Kingsknowe 92 - 14 = 78 (unavailable for finals)
3rd Julie Birdsall Roxburghe 85 - 6 = 79 Q
Bronze Section
1st Leanne Wilson Kelso Ladies 88 - 14 = 74 Q
2nd Liz Angus King James VI 102 - 21 = 81
Q = qualifiers for Grand Medal Final (competitors play in the the category from which they originally qualified).
