LESLEY BEATS CLARA IN GULLANE GIRLS' CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

Last Saturday, after two gruelling weeks of Girls' Home Internationals and British Girls Championship, Clara Young and Lesley Atkins played the final of the Gullane Girls Championship on the No 1 couse.
Not many clubs will have the privilege of having a junior final between two internationals, both of handicap 1!
On this occasion, Lesley triumphed 3 and 2 and retained her girls' championship.

This week is another big week for the girls. Lesley is playing in the Ladies British Amateur Strokeplay Championship at Royal Ashdown Forest and Clara has been invited to play along with the pros in the 54 hole Ladies Scottish Open at Archerfield featuring Catriona Matthew.

Rachael Watton is also playing at Royal Ashdown before heading off to Denver University on a golf scholarship.
