Dorothy Marshall reports:

The weather was atrocious with strong winds and very heavy showers.  The course was in quite good condition but some of the fairways were long as they have obviously not been able to cut due to the amount of rain we've had recently.  The greenkeepers were out cutting this morning but must have had to stop when the rain got very heavy.

 Desptie the bad weather I think everyone was determined that this competition would go ahead as this is the first time the Vets Trophy has been won since 2007. 

In 2008 and 2010 there were not enough entries to warrant the competition being played and in 2009 the competition had to be abandoned at Muir of Ord as the course became waterlogged.
