CATHERINE REILLY'S ACE AT 16TH HOLE

The weather was so bad that it wasn't all that easy to hit the par-3 greens which makes Catherine Reilly's ace at the 16th (160yd) with a five-iron all the more praiseworthy. The shot of the day, said playing partner Pamela Williamson. Catherine, pictured right, is a member at Irish club, The Heath.

It was her second hole in one ... "but the first was so long ago that all I can remember is that it was at Tramore!" said a delighted Catherine.
