TROON'S RACHAEL McQUEEN MAKES WINNING DEBUT IN AMERICA

Rachael McQueen, a member of Troon Ladies Golf Club, has made a winning debut on the United States women's college golf circuit.
A freshman student at McLennan Community College, Waco in Texas, Rachael won the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic at Starke Park Golf Club, Segun in Texas with scores of 76 and 74 for a six-over-par total of 150.
Rachael won by a single shot from Charlotte Gibson (UC Santa Cruz) who had rounds of 77 and 74 for 151.
Another freshman from Britain in the McLennan team, Lydia Johnston from London, finished joint third in a field of 156 with scores of 77 and 79.
Rachael's splendid debut help McLennan CC win the team title by 15 shots from Mary Hardin-Baylor College in a field of 12 teams.

HAYLEY DAVIS SECOND ON HER DEBUT FOR BAYLOR
English girls champion Hayley Davis from Dorset, a freshman student at Baylor University, Texas, finished second on her debut in the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club, Fort Collins in Colorado.
Hayley had rounds of 69, 70 and 75  for a total of two-under-par 214 over a 6,302yd course.
She claimed the runner-up spot in a field of 100 players behind the winner, Demi Runas (UC Davis) who totalled five-under-par 211 with scores of 66, 71 and 74.
UC Davis won the team title with a total of 873. Baylor (885) finished sixth of 19 team.

ALYSSA AND MEGAN MAKE TOP 30 AT ARLINGTON, TEXAS
English students Alyssa Balding and Megan Birdseye, both students at Newman University, tied for 26th place on 162, both with scores of 79 and 83, in a field of 54 players for the Southwest Classic at Tierra Verde GC, Arlington in Texas.
Tarleton State students Sharon Lau and Jacqueline Lau - sisters? twins? - finished first and second with totals of 143 (72-71) and 147 (73-74).
They were playing over a 5,849yd course with a par of 72.
Midwestern State (612) won the team title. Newman University (641) tied for fifth place.

NE OF SCOTLAND PAIR 14th and 21st AT SMOKEY MOUNTAIN I/C

North-east of Scotland students Louise McGillivray (Carson-Newman College) and Megan Clyde, a freshman at Montevallo University, Alabama, finished joint 14th and 21st respectively in a field of 52 players for the Smokey Mountain Intercollegiate tournament at Sevlierville, Tennessee over a 5811yd course with a par of 71.
Banchory GC member Louise had scores of 78 and 83 for 161, Megan, a Deeside GC member, 79 and 86 for 165.
Individual winner by two shots was Lisa Persson (Shorter University) with 73 and 77 for 150.
Carson-Newman (639) and Montevlla Univesity (664) finished fourth and fifth respectively behind team title winners Shorter University (627).

OLD DOMINION PAIR IN TOP FOUR IN TOWSON INVITATIONAL

Old Dominion University students Kimberley Bradbury, a Welsh international, and Elizabeth Haycock, finished joint second and fourth behind winner Harin Lee (St John's University) in the Towson Women's Invitational at Hillendale Country Club at Phoenix, Maryland.
Kimberley scored 78 and 73 for 151; Elizabeth 78 and 76 for 154. The winner had two rounds of 73 for a two-over-par total of 146 over the 5,945yd, par-72.

STEPHANIE MEADOW JOINT 22nd IN COUGAR CLASSIC

Great Britain and Ireland international Stephanie Meadow from Jordanstown, Northern Ireland, a second-year student at Alabama University, tied for 22nd place in a field of 118 players at the Cougar Classic college event at Yeamans Hall Club, Charleston, South Carolina.
Stephanie had scores of 71, 76 and 70 for a total of 217 over the par-72, 6205yd course.
She finished 14 shots behind the winner, Austin Ernst (Louisiana State University) who had rounds of 67, 69 and 67 for 13-under-par 203. She won by four from world-ranked Erica Popson (68-69-72).
Alabama (867) finished joint seventh of 22 teams behind winners Louisiana State and runners-up North Carolina.

GEMMA DRYBURGH TIED 30th ON DEBUT FOR TULANE

Aberdeen-born Scotland girl international Gemma Dryburgh finished joint 30th in a field of 68 players in her debut for Tulane University, New Orleans. She was playing in the Texas A and M Memorial college event at Traditions Club, Bryan, Texas.
Gemma scored 78, 80 and 76 for 234 over the 6,260yd par-72 course.
 Winner by one shot with a three-under-par total of 213 was Carlie Yadloczky (Auburn) with rounds of 70, 73 and 70.
Tulane (931) finished ninth of 11 behind team winners Texas (885).

EMMA CLEGG MAKES TOP 20 AT LINCOLN, NEBRASKA

Lancashire's Emma Clegg (Missouri State) made the top 20 in the Chip-N Club Invitational at Country Club of Lincoln at Lincoln, Nebraska.
Emma scored 77, 77 and 79 for 233 and a share of 18th place in a field of 81 players behind the winner, Felicia Espericueta (Southern Methodist) (74-75-71 for four-over 220).
Missouri State (930) finished fifth of 15 behind team title winners Southern Methodist University (920).
