JACK AND EILIDH TOP OF THE CLASS AT LADYBANK

Stirling University's Jack McDonald and Eilidh Briggs were the individual winners at the Scottish universities' first Order of Merit 36-hole competition of the college year at Ladybank Golf Club, Fife.
Jack, a member at Kilmarnock Barassie had scores of 69 and 71 for a total of 140, compared with a combined CSS of 146 (72-74). He won by four shots from four players.
Scottish Under-18 girls champion Eilidh Briggs, pictured below, a member of Kilmacolm Golf Club, won the girls' event by 10 shots with rounds of 75 and 70 for 145 (CSS 75 and 77.
Stirling won the men's and women's team events. Jack McDonald, Zander Culverwell, Graeme Robertson and David Booth were the men's team; Eilidh Briggs, Becka Wilson and Hannah McCook the Stirling women's team.
