KATIE MUNDY'S JT FOURTH FINISH HELPS F I U WIN TEAM TITLE

Katie Mundy from Dunwood Manor GC, Hampshire, a student at Florida International University, finished joint fourth in a field of 80 players at the Pat Bradley Invitational women's college tournament which finished today at Pelican Preserve and Country Club, Fort Myers, Florida, writes Colin Farquharson (colin@scottishgolfview.com)
Over a par-72 course of 6,239yd, Katie,
pictured right, who was English mid-amateur champion in 2009, had rounds of 74, 72 and 74 for a four-over-par total of 220 - four shots behind the winner by two, team-mate Shelby Coyle who had ever-improving rounds of 74-71-69 for two-under 214.
Shelby and Katie's performance helped Florida Intenational win the team title by 13 strokes from runners-up Eastern Michigan with Daytona State (942), whose team included Welsh girl international Kelly Miller, finishing joint 10th in the field of 15 college squads.
Kelly finished joint 59th individually on 243, made up of improving rounds of 85, 80 and 78
