LINZI ALLAN JOINT SEVENTH IN OKLAHOMA'S UCO CLASSIC

Linzi Allan from Ayrshire, a student at Newman University, Wichita in Kansas, finished joint seventh in a field of 112 players at the UCO Classic women's college golf tournament at Lincoln Park East Golf Club, Edmond, Oklahoma.
Linzi, pictured right, who had two top 10 finishes last college season, had rounds of 71 and 74 for a five-over-par total of 145. She finished seven shots behind the joint leaders on 138 - Brenna Moore (Midwestern) (71-67 and Whitney McAleer (Northeastern State) (67-71). Moore was adjudged the winner with her better second round.
Newman University (601) finished sixth of 21 behind team title winners St Edwards (577). Arkansas Tech (617) finished joint 10th.
