MORAYSHIRE STUDENT IS RANKED NO 1 IN NCAA DIVISION 2

Kyle Godsman from Hopeman, Morayshire, is No 1 in the latest NCAA Division 2 college golf rankings after showing good early-season form. Kyle, pictured right, was second in his most recent tournament.
His college, the University of South Carolinia-Aiken, whose roster includes two other Scots, Mark Dickson from Edinburgh and Neil Beattie from St Andrews, is ranked the No 1 team.
Godsman keeps in constant touch with his coach, Nairn Dunbar club professional David Torrance.

TOM RENNIE JT 5TH IN TENNESSEE EVENT

Aberdonian Tom Rennie, a student at Brevard College, North Carolina, finished joint fifth in a field of 67 players for the Tusculum Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club, Greenville in Tennessee.
Former Deeside GC champion Rennie had rounds of 70 and 72 for a total of level par 142. He finished eight shots behind the winner, Jamie Chapman from Sussex, a student at Lincoln Memorial College, Tennessee, who scored 68 and 66 for eight-under 134.
Another Lincoln student, Glasgow's David Lee, finished joint 52nd with 78 and 74 for 152.

HISCOCK AND TISDALE MAKE TOP SIX IN CENTRAL KANSAS

Jack Hiscock from Swindon and James Tisdale from Liverpool, both students at Bethany College, Kansas, finished joint fourth and joint sixth respectively in a field of 68 for the South Central Kansas Fall Invitational at Winfield Country Club.
Hiscok shot 75 and 76 and for a total of seven-over-par 151 over a par-72, 6463yd course. Tisdale had rounds of 79 and 73 for 152.
Winner was Raleight Hughes (Southwestern Colelge) with 76 and 69 for one-over-par 145. He won by one stroke.

TOM BERRY DOWN THE FIELD AT ALBUQUERQUE

Tom Berry from Surrey, a second-year student at San Diego State Uniersity, finished 41st in a field of 96 players at the William H Tucker Invitational at the University of New Mexico's championship course at Albuquerque.
Tom shot rounds of 77, 74 and 76 for a total of 227 over a monster course of 7,562yd (par 72).
Winner by four shots with three very good scores was Zachary Blair (Brigham Young University) who shot 69, 70 and 70 for seven-under-par 209.
