PAMELA PRETSWELL LEADS THE FIELD IN FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP

Former Swiss women's open amateur champion Pamela Pretswell is on the trail of another title on the Continent.
The Bothwell Castle player, pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, is leading the field at the end of the first round of the French women's international amateur championship at Morfontaine.
The Curtis Cup and Vagliano Trophy international player from Hamilton -  shot a three-under-par 69 to lead by a shot from rising English teenage star Charley Hull (Woburn), France's Helene Malvy and Isabell Gabsa (Germany).
England's Rachel Drummond is another British player in the top 10 of a field of 82 players. Rachel had a par 72.
