SOLID TEAM EFFORT BY THE HIGHLANDERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA

By KEN CONDON
The Radford University Highlanders travelled to South Carolina with a point to prove after finishing 12 shots behind their opponents, Presbyterian, two weeks ago.
Sophomore Paige Reese led the team with a 76. The cumulative score of 310, which included Kirsty Condon's 79, helped the team to an emphatic 20 shot victory in what was a very solid team effort.
That score of 310 was also eight shots lower than the Highlanders' best round at the same venue last spring at the Conference Finals, so a repeat of that three times over come April 2012 will be more than welcome!
Coach Beeler commented: "I thought we played fairly well today, considering the windy conditions. it was a great day to gain experience and an extra competitive round heading into our next tournament," which is at Richmond, Virgina, starting on October 10.
