Heidi and Meghan sign Letters of Intent to join Maryland, Florida Internationa

Heidi Beck (Felixstowe Ferry) and Meghan MacLaren (Wellingborough) have signed Letters of Intent to enrol at Maryland University and Florida International University, Miami respectively next August.
South Korean-born Heidi, pictured above by Cal Carson Golf Agency, an England girl international for the past three years, was a late withdrawal from the England team for this past year's Under-18 girls' internationals at Gullane.
Her two biggest victories in the past year or so have been the US Junior Masters' girls title at TPC Sawgrass late last December and teaming up with Alex Peters (Notts Ladies) to win the London Foursomes at The Berkshire. Both are junior members at The Berkshire and pupils at Wellington College.
Meghan played in the winning England girls team at Gullane and then played very well in the British women's open amateur stroke-play at Royal Ashdown Forest GC later in August, finishing third behind Leona Maguire and Laurence Hermann.
Her father David is a European Tour director and her mother Mary is in the holiday tours business.
