Rhian Wyn Thomas from Wales is the leading British player with Sunday's final round to come in the seventh and last event of the 2011 Spanish Banesto Women's Pro Tour, at Villaitana Golf, Benidorm, Alicante.
The event has been hit by a lot of rain which forced Friday's first day's play to be suspended because of flooding. Nobody finished their first round on Friday, which meant that all the players had to play more than 18 holes today as the weather relented and they were able to finish the first round, then go out again to complete their second 18 holes.
Rhian shot 69 and 71 for three-under-par 141 and in joint fifth position in the field of 48.
Leader on eight-under 136 is Spain's Raquel Carriedo with 67-69.
Anglo-Scot Kirsty Fisher strung together her best two rounds for many a long day - a pair of sub-par 71s for 142 and a share if eighth place.
The Scots in the field did not produce any fireworks for Guy Fawkes' Day. Heather MacRae (Gleneagles) shot 71-75 for a share of 27th place with Ireland's Tara Delaney (73-73) on 146.
Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll had a pair of 76s for 152 and a share of 37th place.
Majorca-based Scot Lauren Mackin had two 78s for 156 and 45th place in the field of 48.
