SPANISH WOMEN'S PRO TOUR EVENT HIT BY RAIN

First-round play in the final event of the Spanish Banesto Women's Pro Tour was suspended at Villataina GC, Benidorm yesterday because of heavy rain which kept returning and eventually flooded the course.
No players had completed their first rounds.
The field includes Scots Heather MacRae, Katy McNicoll and Majorca-based Lauren Mackin as well as Ireland's Tara Delaney, Wales' Rhian-Wyn Thomas and England's Kirsty Taylor.
