LPGA DISPENSE WITH SERVICES OF TOP WRITER LISA D MICKEY

Lisa D Mickey, pictured, one of the best female golf writers in America, has left the staff of the LPGA/ LPGA Futures Tour after nine years.
She told Kirkwoodgolf: "It was a total surprise to me last week when I was informed that the LPGA communications staff was being "restructured" and that my position as senior writer was being eliminated.
"Obviously, I am stunned and disappointed (and a number of other things), but I wanted to take this time to let you all know where to find me. I also wanted to make you aware of this transition just in case you hear of any perfect opportunities out there for someone totally in love with the written word and a good story!
"Thanks for keeping an ear to the ground. Obviously, if you have questions about the LPGA or LPGA Futures Tour, please contact Mike Scanlan in the LPGA communications department at mike.scanlan@lpga.com.
"To reach me, my current contact Email addresses are: mickeysan@earthlink.net, lisamickey@mac.com
"I have enjoyed working with you all and hopefully, I'll see you down the road. Have a great new year! Best wishes,"

Lisa D. Mickey

EDITOR'S NOTE: I have enjoyed working with Lisa and reading her Press Releases over the years. I am also astonished that the LPGA can dispense with the services of such a high quality writer, obviously without warning. She deserved better than that.
