HAYLEY DAVIS LEADS BY ONE IN UCF CHALLENGE IN FLORIDA

Hayley Davis has moved into a one-shot lead with a round to go in the UCF Challenge at Red Tail Golf Club, Sorrento in Florida.
The Baylor University, Texas freshman from Wimborne Dorset added a one-under-par 71 to her opening 69 over the 6,374yd course for a five-under 139 tally.
Victoria Trapapani (Auburn) could not recover from a double bogey 6 at the fifth and her 72 for 140 gave her a shot to make up on leader Davis over Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Hayley birdied the first, long seventh, 13th and 14th. She dropped shot4s at the 10th, short 11th and 18th. The general standard of scoring seemed to rise a shot or two, which suggests that the conditions were that little bit tougher than they had been for the opeing round.
But they did not stop Aberdeen-born Gemma Dryburgh, a freshman at Tulane University, New Orleans from rising to joint seventh place from joint 22nd at the start of the day.
Scottish girl international Gemma had a 71 for 144 with birdies at the first, long second, , ninth and 13th. She bogeyed the eighth, 14th and 16th. Hopefully that double bogey 6 at the 18th in her first round will not come back to haunt her in the final analysis
Surrey's Kirsty Rands (Augusta State) dropped down to joint 29th from joint 13th after the first 18 holes. She had a 75 for 147.
Auburn have more players than Baylor among the leaders which explains why Auburn and Baylor are level on 569 in the team event. Tulane are lying third on 576 with Central Florida (577) fourth and Augusta State (579) fifth in a field of 18 teams.
