Katy, backed by Levante Golf, plays on Hi5 Pro Tour, Spain this week

I am currently out in Spain for some warm weather practice. That was the first January in Scotland in seven years for me and that was more than enough!
(Katy was a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida)
I was fortunate enough to bump into an old Carnoustie High pupil while at tour school this year. Scott Hosie, brother of MP Stewart Hosie, was outside his shop and we happened to get speaking.
Scott is now based in La Manga with his family and they own a clothing company, Levante and Lebeche and a golf academy, Levante Golf.
Much to my delight he asked me to wear his line during the week of tour school and has offered me support for this upcoming season.
Obviously this in itself is a tremendous boost for my confidence to know that a clothing company wants you to wear their gear for the year. Scott has also asked me to assist him in these next few weeks with his Golf Academy.
He has clients from all over, who work with their pro and he provides a five-star service with excellent golf facilities to practice and play and also fine dining in the evening.
This provides me with ample time to work on my game at some of Spain's top resorts. As you can tell, Scott and his wife Sonia are very involved with the golf scene here in the Murcia region. Their company also offers sponsorship to the Hi5 Tour. The events here in Murcia are under way and I have been very fortunate to be granted a sponsors invite into this week's stop at El Valle.
I have a feeling I will be the only female in attendance but I am hoping that http://www.kirkwoodgolf.co.uk/ will drum up a bit of publicity for the tour and the awareness that they have opened up the events to females.
I am looking forward to this week as I didn't expect to play until March. It will be a good experience for me to tee it up with some top European professionals and test my game against theirs.
I can't thank Scott enough for his help and the opportunity he has given me to get the best possible start to my season.
