PAUL LAWRIE'S NEPHEW SEAN JOINT 24th IN TEXAS

Paul Lawrie's nephew Sean Lawrie, a first-year student at Midland College, Texas, finished joint 24th in a field of 74 players at this week's The Wrangler college golf tournament at Split Rail Links Golf Club, Aledo in Texas.
Lawrie, pictured right, shot rounds of 79 and 76 over a long par-72 course of 7,353yd. His total of 155 was 13 shots behind the three-shot winner, Mathias Boesmans (Western Texas) (75-67).

Luke Richardson (Midland) finished T30 on 156 with scores of 80-76. Richardeson, from Essex, is a second-year student.
A third Midland College student from the UK, Richard Farmer, a freshman from Brighton, finished T38 on 158 with scores of 82-76. 
Odessa (600) won the team title ahead of Midland (611), Western Texas (612) in a field of nine teams.
 

SAMMY VASS IN TOP TWENTY
 
Tain's Sammy Vass, a third-year student at Gardner-Webb University, South Carolina returned an 86 to finish joint 15th in the individual standings at the Wofford Tri Match at CC of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Alex Hendricks (Wofford College) had the best score of three-over-par 75. Wofford College (314) won the team title ahead of Appalachian State (328) and Gardner-Webb (329).



OLIVER CARR MAKES TOP TWENTY IN TEXAS

Oliver Carr, 18, from Ulverston, a freshman student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, finished 17th of 30 in the Spring Cardinal Classic at the Sonterra North Course in San Antonio, Texas.
Carr shot scores of 82, 78 and 82 for a total of 242 over the par-72 course of 7,006yd.
Winner by four shots was Derek Oland (Midwestern) with scores of 74, 78 and 71 for 223.

CALLUM TARREN JOINT 15TH AT HILTON HEAD

Callum Tarren from Darlington, a student at Radford University, Virginia, finished joint 15th in a big field of 90 p0layers at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate at Wexford Plantation GC, Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Tarren shot 73-76-77 for 226 - 10 more than the winner by three, Damon Stephen (Georgia State) (72-71-73).
