RACHEL LEWIS FROM CARDIFF JT 15th IN COURTYARD CLASSIC

In this week's Jacksonville University Courtyard Classic at Hidden Hills CC, Jacksonvillle, Florida, two Welsh girls were in the field of 33 players.
Welsh girls champion in 2010, Rachel Lewis,
 pictured right, from Cardiff, a student at USC Upstate, finished T15 with a total of 238 over the par 72, 5,806yd course.
She had rounds of 78, 86 and 74.
Past Welsh girl cap Kelly Miller (Daytona State College) finished 26th on 246 with rounds of 84, 80 and 82.
Mercer University provided the first and second players past the winning post.
Lacey Fears shot 71-73-76 for four-over-par 220 to win by two shots from team-mate Aureli Wiriath (74-79-69).

No surprise, then, that Mercer University (908) won the team title by 17 shots from Jacksonville University (925) with Daytona State Beach College (940) third, Florida Gulf Coast University (942) fourth, UsC Upstate (958) fifth and Florida Atlantic last of 6 with a total of 961.
