SIX SCOTS IN SPANISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

Six Scots are in the field for the Spanish women's amateur international golf championship which tees off at El Valle Golf Club, Murcia in the southeast-of Spain on Wednesday.
They are Curtis Cup player Pamela Pretswell (Bothwelll Castle), Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies), Jane Turner (Craigielaw) and Stirling students Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm), Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) and Rebecca Wilson (Grange, Monifieth).
The Maguire twins from Ireland, Lisa and Leona, withdrew last week. Lisa won the title last year. They are instead heading tomorrow to Florida for a two-week training camp.
Non-Scots bidding for the title include the World No 9 Charley Hull (Woburn), Holly Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), Amy Boulden (Conwy), Becky Harries (Haverfordwest, Meghan MacLaren (Wellingborough), Chloe Williams (Wrexham), Jess Wilcox (Blankney), Emilee Taylor (Holme Hall), Nicole Whitmore (Woburn) and Gabriella Cowley (West Essex).
