NOTE FROM EDITOR: Don't they have such things as prize vouchers for lady amateurs in America? See above: Pro finishes on 220 and wins $550 (roughly £225). Amateur finishes on same 220 total - and gets HALF A DOZEN GOLF BALLS!
Entry fee per tournament for an amateur is $200 for a member and $275 for a non-member. It costs $399 for annual membership.
Then there's "$90 to $210 course usage fee" per tournament - whatever that is?
For a professional the entry fee per tournament is $560 for members and $660 for non-members.
Sounds as if they are paying a lot of money just to play with little chance of recouping it!
