Falkirk Golf Club has one of the leading junior sections in the Central Belt with several junior internationals in their ranks.
The club’s junior section was one of the top 20 nominations for the RBS Junior Club of the Year Award. Although not short listed as one of the four finalists, this achievement was a considerable feat considering the very high standard of contenders for the award.
The judges were impressed by the work undertaken by Falkirk Golf Club and its significant contribution to the junior game in Scotland. The winner of the RBS Junior Club of the Year Award will be announced at the 2012 Annual Scottish Golf Awards being staged on Friday, March 23 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.
The club is keen to attract aspiring young golfers and has a membership offer of free golf for juniors to use their nine-hole Wee Course if one or more of their parents is a full member.
Falkirk Golf Club is holding an Open Day on Sunday, April 15 between 10 am and 4 pm with competitions open to all and to find out more about the club and what facilities they have on offer.
