CATRIONA MATTHEW MAKES THE CUT WITH NOTHING TO SPAGE

Catriona Matthew made the cut in the LPGA Tour event - the Kia Classic at Carlsbad, California - by the skin of her teeth.
The North Berwick player followed up a 79 with a 70 for 149 - and that was the limit qualifying mark. She is T61, 14 shots behind leader Yani Tseng (67-68 for 135).
Yorkshire's Jodi Ewart is doing very well - sharing third place on 139 with former US, Irish-born Curtis Cup payer Alison Walsh and Sweden's Caroline Hedwall.
