ROBERT GORDON'S BOYS THROUGH TO CARNOUSTIE UK FINAL
Robert Gordon's College golf team are through to the United Kindom final of the British Independent Schools Golf Championship at Carnoustie on April 22-23.
Paul Lawrie's older son, Craig, 16, from Bieldside, Finlay McPherson, 15, from Inverurie, and team captain Ross Green, 17, from Turriff beat their Glenalmond College, Perthshire opponents 3-0 in a regional final over Royal Aberdeen's Balgownie links today.
Scratch player Lawrie won by 8 and 6, McPherson by 2 and 1 and Green by 6 and 5.
At Carnoustie, Robert Gordon's College will come up against 17 other regional champions in two rounds of stroke-play. ends
