Sian Evans (East Tennessee State) leads the Brits at the end of the first day in the JMU Eagle Landing Invite tournament on a monster 6,282yd, par 72 Eagle Landing course in Jacksonville, Florida.
Sian, pictured, from Kent,  is tied seventh in a field of 100 on 73.
Liz Haycock (Old Dominion), from West Midlands, shot 75, and team-mate Kimmy Bradbury, from Derbyshire, came home with a  77.
Lincolnshire's Kirsty Condon (Radford)  finished with a 79.
South Florida lead the 18 team event on 287, seven shots clear of Campbell and East Carolina, but the story of the day has to be Kaylin Yost (Campbell) with a stunning back nine of 30. that gave her a 67 and a two-shot lead on the individual leader board.
