SIAN EVANS MAKES FINAL TOP TEN AT EAGLE LANDING INVITE

Kent's Sian Evans (East Tennessee State), pictured, finished with a 75 for a 54-hole total of 220 (73-72-75) and secure a tie for 10th place in a field of 100 at the JMU Eagle Landing Invite college tournament at Jacksonville, Florida.
Liz Haycock (Old Dominion) from the West Midlands fired an 83 to slip down to a tie for 54th on 234 (75-76-83).
Meanwhile, Derbyshire's Kimmy Bradbury (Old Dominion) and Lincolnshire's Kirsty Condon (Radford) recovered some ground with stirring late revivals. Both played their last nine holes under par. Kimmy carded a 77 (42-35) for a total of 237 (77-83-77), tied 63rd, and Kirsty fired a 75 (41-34) to finish on 240 (79-86-75), tied 77th.
South Florida led the 18-team event from start to finish, shooting 883 in the process, five shots ahead of Maryland, with East Carolina a further four shots back in third.
East Tennessee State grossed 903 for sixth place, Old Dominion 928 (14th) and Radford (937) 17th.
Kaylin Yost (Campbell University), who amassed 15 birdies in the tournament, won the individual medal despite a double bogey at the last. Her final round of 74 and a total of 215 (67-74-74) saw her scrape home one shot ahead of three opponents.

EMMA AND NIKKI FINISH IN TOP TEN IN ARIZONA

Emma Clegg (Missouri State University) from Blackburn, Lancashire finished T13 in a field of 89 players at the Rio Verde Invitational at Quail Run @ Rio Verde Country Club, ArIzona.
Over a par-71 course of 6,260yd, Emma, pictured, scored 77, 77 and 73 for 227 - eight shots behind the winner by one, Kristen Hill (Akron Univ) (73-74-72 for 219).
Nikki Dunn (Texas A and M) from Harrogate, Yorkshire finished T14 with scores of 77-75-76 for 228.
Emma Clegg's Missouri State team-mate from Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, freshman Megan Thompson finished 38th with scores of 80-77-79 for 236.
Kansas (900) won the team title ahead of runners-up Missouri State (904) with Akron (906) third. Texas A and M (911) finished fourth of 16).





US CURTIS CUP PLAYERS FINISHED IN TOP FOUR AT LSU CLASSIC

Two players selected to play for the United States in the June 8-10 Curtis Cup match against GB and I at The Nairn Golf Club, near Inverness, finished in the top four of the LSU Classic women's college tournament at University Club, Baton Rouge in Louisiana.
Erica Popson (Tennessee) (75-70-69 for 214)  tied for victory with Catheine O'Donnell (North Carolina) (72-71-71). There was no play-off for the individual title.
Austin Ernst (Louisiana State) (73-73-72) finished fourth in a field of 78 with scores of 73-73-72 for 218 over a par-72 course of 6,305.
Tennessee (880) won the team title ahead of Louisiana State with North Carolina (889) third of 14 teams.
