STEVEN MAXWELL REJOINS MUSTANGS AS ASSISTANT HEAD COACH

After playing for the Western New Mexico University "Mustangs" golf team for four years, Steven Maxwell from Glasgow - a Windyhill GC member - is back there as a assistant head coach. Maxwell was Western's top player in the 2010-11 season, and was an All-RMAC selection during his senior campaign. He was a big part of Western's RMAC Spring Championship team in 2010 and also competed in the 2010 NCAA Championship.
Maxwell, a 2011 WNMU graduate (Busness), amassed a 75.6 career scoring average for WNMU in 127 rounds and 19 top-10 finishes in 47 events.
"Steven is a great person to have as an assistant," said Head Coach Kent Beatty. "He has great technical knowledge of the game and has been there, doing the same things we are trying to get the team to do to improve. He was a respected player and he will be a very good coach for us over the next couple of years," said Beatty.
