A MARATHON DAY FOR DONNA JACKSON IN RENFREWSHIRE CH/SHP

Donna Jackson had a marathon match this morning against Iona Stephen in the Renfrewshire women's county championship.
Donna was three down after 11. Iona was two up at 14th. Then she lost a ball at 15th and also lost the 16th to be all square at the 18th.
Iona had a birdie putt on the 18th to win the match but the ball lipped out.
A variety of pars, birdies and bogeys followed with Donna winning with a birdie at the 7th extra hole. the 25th -- What a match!
Donna has won the Renfrewshire county title 10 times - a record.
Later she reached the semi-finals with a 2 and 1 win over Gillian Kyle.
Top seed Megan Briggs won by 4 and 3 against Gillian McGinlay and will play Lindsey Stevenson in the first semi-final tomorrow morning. Stevenson had a big win, 8 and 6, over Nicky Henderson.
In the second semi-final it will be Donna Jackson against No 2 seed Alyson McKechin who won by 5 and 3 against Carol Whyte
