CRAIGIELAW FINISH 2ND, DEESIDE 7TH IN SPANISH JUNIOR EVENT

Day 5
in Antequera. On Monday we played against Mold from Wales and the match ended in a
3-3 draw but on a countback we won! This meant that we came seventh overall.
Calton House were the eventual title winners, beating Craigielaw 4 1/2-1 1/2 in the final.
Carlton House only beat us 4-2 in the group stages showing how tight the
competition was overall.
At the Gala Dinner Lewys secured the best nett prize in the
tournament, having scored a 74 (net 70) - brilliant achievement, well done!
The
trip was a great success and a great experience for all involved.The team have
benefited greatly from the trip both from a golf and life experience
perspective.Back to Aberdeen on Tuesday, eaving at 1140 hrs from Malaga, arriving home at 1630 hrs.

We lost to Calton House (Ireland) in the final 4 1/2- 1 1/2, Ewen Donaldson winning and Lewis making a 2 on
the last to get the half. All of the games were close, losing matches only by a
shot or two.
