IRISH SENIORS CRUSH SCOTTISH VETS IN SINGLES TO KEEP TROPHY
Ireland won the Mary McKenna Trophy for the third year in a row with a dominating performance in the singles for a 9 1/2-2 1/2 victory margin over Scotland in the senior women's golf match at Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club, near Belfast today After the foursomes were shared 2-2, the Scots' hopes were high they could gain the edge in the eight singles. It was not to be. The Irish won seven and halved the other tie.
