SUSAN JACKSON EARNS TOP SEEDING FOR FIFE CHAMPIONSHIP

Captain, Fife Ladies County Golf Association
Seventy-seven ladies took part in FCLGA Spring Meeting and Qualifying round for the County Championship, held at The Kittocks, Fairmont, St Andrews on Sunday.
In sunny but windy conditions Susan Jackson (Ladybank) was the leading qualifier with a superb scratch 70. 
Elaine Moffat (St Regulus) was the 2nd qualifier with a scratch 80. 
Third and fourth qualifiers were Kathleen Webster (Ladybank) 82 and Karin Sharp (Kirkcaldy) 83.  Jenny Rearie (Ladybank), playing off 25, won the Coronation Medal for the best net score with a 70.  The CSS for the day was 77.
Last year's Fife county champion, Louise Kenney (Pitreavie), who also holds the Scotish title, was unable to defend because she is on warm weather training in Turkey
The match play takes place, at the Kittocks, over the weekend of the 21st and 22 nd April with the first round draw as follows:

8.20am            Elsie Hutcheon, Ladybank v Sam Munro, Aberdour
8.30am            Lynda Dyball, Pitreavie v Karin Sharp, Kirkcaldy
8.40am            Kathleen Webster, Ladybank v Irene Morrison,St. Regulus
8.50am            Morag Campsie, Scotscraig v Nicky Taylor, Dunnikier
9.00am            Lorna Bennett, Ladybank v Lynn Newton, Dunnikier
9.10am            Myrtle Gilbert, Ladybank v Elaine Moffat, St. Regulus
