ALASDAIR DALGLIESH NAMED TO ALL-AMERICAN FIRST TEAM

NEWS RELEASE

SALEM, Oregon – Oklahoma Christian golfers Vilhelm Bogstrand and Alasdair Dalgliesh (pictured) have been named to the PING NAIA All-America first-team list, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Friday.
The PING NAIA 11-man first-team honor list was announced at the end of the NAIA Men’s Golf Championships at Creekside Golf Club. Oklahoma Christian finished second in the tournament, extending its streak of top-four national-tournament finishes to 13 straight years.
Bogstrand, a junior from Oslo, Norway, finished third at the NAIA Championships and made the all-tournament team. He posted one tournament win during the 2011-12 season, capturing the Texoma Championship in October in Kingston, Okla. He ranked 12th in stroke average (72.40) in the NAIA in the latest standings.
Anglo-Scot Dalgliesh, a sophomore from West Sussex but with lots of relations in Scotland, won two tournaments – OC’s River Oaks Invitational last November and the Battle at Primm in Primm, Nevada, in March. After the latter win, he was named as the NAIA men’s golfer of the week. In the latest standings, he was tied for fourth in the NAIA in stroke average at 71.89.
The second- and third-team PING NAIA All-America lists will be announced at a later date. The PING teams are separate from the NAIA All-America teams, which should be announced early next week.
