STEPHANIE MEADOW NAMED IN SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE TEAM
Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup team selection Stephanie Meadow, pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency, a student at Alabama University, was yesterday named in the 2012 Southeastern Conference Women's Golf Team.
It is a team that never plays a match but it is an indication of the players most highly rated within the conference and is selected by the conference team coaches.
Stephanie's Alabama team-mate Brooke Pancake - who will be playing for the United States in the June 8-10 Curtis Cup match earned SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the third straight season.
Spain's Camilla Hedberg (Florida University) was named SEC Freshman of the Year.
Hedberg recorded her fourth top-10 finish of the season at SEC Championship.
Pancake, a senior from Chattanooga, Tennessee, has a perfect 4.0 grade point average in Marketing and leads Alabama with a 72.46 scoring average, while being second overall in the SEC. She is a first-team NCAA All-American, as well as recipient of Capital One Academic All-American honors.
