EILIDH BRIGGS RETAINS WEST OF SCOTLAND WOMEN'S TITLE

Stirling University student Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm) retained the West of Scotland women's amateur golf championship at Renfrew Golf Club  today.
Eilidh, picture by courtesy of Carol Fell, the reigning Scottish Under-18 girls champion, won by eight shots from Carol Whyte (Windyhill) with scores of 75 and 72 for a total of one-under-par 147
Carol scored 78-77 for 155 and had the consolation of winning the best net aggregate award of 145.
Renfrewshire won the junior and adult county team titles.
