JESS SCHIELE FINISHES FOURTH IN NAIA WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Jess Schiele (Oklahoma City University) from Grimsby finished fourth in a big feld for the NAIA Women's Championship at Links Hills Golf and Country Club, Greeneville in Tennessee.
Jess had a title chance with one round to go in the 72-hole event but she could not recapture the brilliance of her second-day 68 which lifted her into contention.
She finished with creditable scores of 77 68 75 and 76 for a total of 296 over the par 73 course.
Winner of the title was the long-time leader Megan Woodland (Victoria) with a total of 292, made up of rounds of 73 70 76 and 73
Runner-up was Anna Arrese Cortadellas (Oklahoma Christian) on 293 (74 73 73 73)
Third, a shot ahead of Jess Schiele, was Jamie Paterno (Williams Woods) with scores of 73 74 75 73 for 295
British Columbia (1211) won the team title, finishing two shots ahead of Savannah College, Georgia.
