LESLEY NICHOLSON TOP SEED AS SHE BIDS FOR COUNTY TITLE No 3
Haddington's Lesley Nicholson has earned the No 1 seed berth for the East Lothian county championship with a round of 72 - two under the CSS.
Lesley, a former Scotland amateur international who played on the Ladies European Tour for a number of years, has not won her county title since back-to-back successes in 1999-2000.
Before that she lost to Catriona Lambert (Matthew) in the 1992 final.
No 2 seed is Keren Ward (Glen) who had a 76. She was the only other player to break 80 in testing conditions.
Clara Young (North Berwick), who at 15 years of age became the youngest winner of the East Lothian title, was unable to defend this year because of school exams and other golfing commitments.
Lesley Nicholson is pictured above, by Cal Carson Golf Agency, when she skippered Scotland to victory in the Women's Home Internationals at Whitchurch, Cardiff in 2010 - their first title win in 19 years.
