LORRAINE LEADS SLGA REGIONAL MEDAL FINAL QUALIFIERS AT WET ABOYNE

Lorraine Leith (Dunecht House) was the overall winner of the SLGA Regional Medal Final played in a steady drizzle at Aboyne Golf Club today.
Lorraine had a net 69 off 23 of a handicap.
The other Bronze qualifier for the Grand Final at Crieff Golf Club on Sunday, September 9 was Lou Nisbet (Aboyne) with a net 74 off 23.
The two Silver qualifiers were Maryla Sime (Aboyne) with a net 71 off 12 and Lindsey Vincent (Insch) with a net 72 off 11.
The CSS of 74 was two over the ladies' par at Aboyne. Explanation for the high scoring? The rough was very wet and difficult to get out of.
