ALISON BARTLETT IS TOP SEED FOR NORTHERN COUNTIES MATCH-PLAY AT ELGIN
Royal Dornoch's senior international player Alison Bartlett earned the top seed spot with a round of four-over-par 78 (two under the CSS) at Elgin Golf Club today in the qualifying round of the Northern Counties LGA championship.
She headed the 16 qualifiers for the match-play stages by two shots from Reay youngster Eleanor Tunn and local Elgin player Shona Leese, who is a new name for the upper reaches of the qualifiers.
Eleanor and Shona both scored 80. The card countback placed Eleanor as the No 2 seed and Shona as No 3.
Defending champion Jenny Milne, playing over her home course, is the eighth seed on 74.
