GEMMA JOINT 12th BUT TULANE FAIL TO MAKE FINALS
Aberdonian Gemma Dryburgh (Tulane University) shared 12th place in the NCAA Division 1 women's East Regional championship over Penn State University's Blue course.
Gemma scored 72-75-72 for a total of three-over-par 219 over the 6,253yd course.
She finished six shots behind the winner, Katerina Ruzickova (Texas A and M)
Lindy Duncan (Duke), a member of the US team to play GB and I in the Curtis Cup match at Nairn from June 8-10, came fourth on 218 but Dryburgh finished ahead of two other players who will be playing in next month's showpiece.
Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow (Alabama) shared 14th place on 220 (74-72-74) and her American college team-mate, Brooke Pancake, finished joint 35th on 233.
Tulane finished outwith the top eight college teams who go forward to the NCAA Division 1 women's championships, which means the college golf season is over for Dryburgh. Duke and Alabama qualified so Duncan, Meadow and Pancake will be playing in the finals.
