STIRLING&CLACKMANNAN TOP SEED BEATEN IN FIRST ROUND
Top seed Lesley Gibb (West Lothian) bowed out in the first round of the match-play stages of the Stirling and Clackmannan women's county championship at Bathgate today.
She was beaten on the 18th green by the last of the 16 qualifiers, Elizabeth Goodwin (Glenbervie).
Louise Macgregor (Falkirk), bidding to complete a hat-trick of county title wins, progressed to Monday's quarter-finals. She beat home course player Margaret McFarlane 5 and 4.
