THREAT OF LIGHTNING HALTS PLAY IN LADIES' GERMAN OPEN
Sweden’s Caroline Westrup posted the target with a round of five under 67 in the first round of the UniCredit Ladies' German Open this morning.
She held a two stroke lead in the clubhouse when play was suspended due to the threat of lightning at 1.25pm local time after a morning of glorious sunshine.
Celine Palomar, Bree Arthur, Joanna Klatten and Sophie Gustafson had all signed for rounds of three under 69 just before the horn sounded for dangerous conditions.
