The British women's open amateur championship over the Carnoustie championship links has been over-subscribed, i.e. more people have entered than the maximum field of 144 players can cope with.
The ballot cut-off point is the highest/lowest on record for the LGU's flagship amateur event: +0.5
Everyone with a handicap greater than that has been placed on the waiting list but the LGU request that players in this position advise them of confirmation of being prepared to wait to see if there are any withdrawals or whether they wish to cancel their entries
