GB AND I CAPTAIN LEAVES OUT CHARLEY HULL, PAMELA PRETSWELL

A surprise foursomes line-up has been announced by GB and I captain Tegwen Matthews for the opening morning's foursomes here at The Nairn Golf Club where we've had the best day's weather this week - Friday's forecast is for rain, and a lot of it.
Tegwen has left out Charley Hull and Pamela Pretswell. Both players had been expected to form the backone of the team over the three days and five sessions of play.
It's either a huge gamble in leaving out Charley - the No 4 world ranked female amateur - and Pamela, who won a Swedish professional tournament a week or so ago, or captain Matthews knows a lot more than she let on at a Press Conference earlier in the day when Tegwen went out of her way to stress that all the members of her squad were fit and well - and playing well.
So much so she said, that it had been a very difficult decision for her to leave two of them out (Hull and Pretswell as it transpired).
Curiously enough, Charley and Pamela were two of the three players, the GB and I team captain chose to accompany her to the Media Centre for the pre-match interviews this afternoon.
The Friday morning curtain-raising matches are:
8am - Kelly Tidy and Amy Boulden v. Austin Ernst and Brooke Pancake.
8.12 - Holly Clyburn and Bronte Law v Amy Anderson and Tiffany Lua.
8.24 - Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow v Lindy Duncan and Lisa McCloskey.
The afternoon four-balls will be at 1pm, 1.15 and 1.30.
