MATCH 1 - AMY ANDERSON and EMILY TUBERT (US) bt PAMELA PRETSWELL and CHARLEY HULL (GB and I) 4 and 3.

Anderson and Tubert moved into a two-hole lead by winning the short sixth and the long seventh with birdies, having earlier birdied the first to go one up and also the second, which was halved.
Pretswell and Hull birdied the long second and short third to go one up but their better-ball pars at the sixth and seventh saw them go two down.
Anderson and Tubert, out in an approximate better ball of four-under 32, went three up with a birdie 4 at the 10th.
Pretswell and Hull chipped one back with a 2 at the short 11th to be two down with seven to play.
Anderson and Tubert went three up again by winning the 12th but lost the 13th to a birdie from Pretswell, set up with a great approach shot.
The Americans then moved up a gear to finish off the match with birdies at the short 14th and the par-4 15th for a 4 and 3 margin of victory. They were approximately six under par.
Pretswell and Hull were roughly three under par.
That increased the United States lead to 4-0 overall.

MATCH 2 - KELLY TIDY and HOLLY CLYBURN bt BROOKE PANCAKE and ERICA POPSON 2 and 1.

Tidy and Clyburn birdied the short fourth to go one up after the first and second holes were exchanged in birdies. Pancake and Popson squared with a par at the short sixth and went one up for the first time with an eagle 3 at the seventh and were still one ahead at the turn, having gone out in an approximate better-ball 33.
Tidy and Clyburn squared the match with a 5 to a bogey 6 at the 10th and went ahead with a 4 to a 5 at the 12th. The Americans better-ball bogeyed their third hole out of four with a 5 at the 13th to allow the GB and I pair to go two. Halves at the 14th and 15th left Tidy and Clyburn two up with three to play and within sight of putting a first point on the board for the home team.
Pancake and Popson were certainly not ready to throw in the towel. They won the 16th with a 4 to a 5 to be one down with two to play.
But Tidy and Clyburn won the 17th and the match with a par 4 for a 2 and 1 victory margin, giving GB and I their second point of the day. Tidy and Clyburn were roughly level par for the 17 holes.

MATCH 3 - BRONTE LAW and AMY BOULDEN bt LINDY DUNCAN and LISA McCLOSKEY 3 and 2.

Duncan was only a matter of inches away from holing her approach shot to the first and the tap-in birdie 3 put the Americans one up immediately.La
The long second was halved in birdie 4s before a par was good enough for Law and Boulden to square the contest at the third. Duncan and McCloskey regained a one-hole lead with a 2 at the short sixth.
The Americans also birdied the seventh to go two up but their lead was halved when Law and Boulden got a birdie 3 at the eighth. The GB and I pair were conceded the ninth to be all square at the turn. Both sides an appromate two-under 34 for the first nine holes.
Law and Boulden led for the first time when the best the Americans could do at the 10th was a bogey 6. The GB and I pair went two up at the 13th and halved the 14th to be two up with four to play. 
Halves at the 14th and 15th moved Law and Boulden closer to victory.
A par 4 at the 16th was good enough to give GB and I their first point of the day at 5.48pm - Law and Boulden winning by 3 and 2 with roughly two under par figures.
