JILL HARRISON WINS NORTHERN VETS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR FIRST TIME

Jill Harrison (Cruden Bay) won the Northern Division of the Scottish Veterans LGA championship for the first time at Royal Montrose this week. She beat clubmate Lynne Terry 3 and 2 in the final.
Linda Urquhart (Banchory) had the lowest scratch score, a 75, in the open meeting but was unable to play in the match-play stages - she won the title last year - because of a hospital appointment which proved impossible to reschedule.
