Renfrewshire are favourites to win the West Division women's inter-county team golf championship at Cardross GC.
They made it two wins out of two on Day 2 when they beat the other Day 1 winners, Lanarkshire 7-2.
Renfrewshire's
strength in depth in the singles, spearheaded by Alyson McKechin
(Elderslie) and the Briggs sisters from Kilmacolm, Megan and Eilidh,
shone through as they took the afternoon session 5-1.
In the other tite last year's champions, Ayrshire, lost for the second time, beaten 5 1/2-3 1/2 by Dunbartonshire and Argyll.
The
West Division champions will meet the other three divisional
title-winners in the Scottish county finals at Montrose Links in
September.
