RENFREWSHIRE, LANARKSHIRE FIRST-DAY WINNERS IN WEST JAMBOREE

Defending champions Ayrshire's hopes of retaining the West Division women's inter-county title took a body blow on the opening day at Cardross where hey were beaten 6 1/2-2 1/2 by Lanarkshire.
In the other tie, Renfrewshire won by a similar margin against Dunbartsonhire and Argyll.
