WINNING STARTS BY MIDLOTHIAN AND FIFE IN EAST JAMBOREE
Scottish women's county champions Midlothian made a satisfactory start to their defence of the East Division title at Turnhouse Golf Club today.
They beat Stirling and Clackmannan 6 1/2 to 2 1/2.
Fife overpowered East Lothian 6-3 and look to be Midlothian's main rivals for the divisional title, the winners of which go forward to the Scottish county finals at Montrose in September.
